
From 1903 to 1953, there were no changes in the major league franchises of Organize Baseball. Negro Leagues ball, on the other hand, was a constantly shifting universe of leagues, cities and teams, much as white baseball had been in its early professional days. Through all of this change, some clubs stand out. Here are brief histories of some cities and their teams, followed by a complete listing of all clubs that played in recognized Negro Leagues.
